A Surprise Visit To India Gate With Family

India-Gate is the memorial of Indian soldiers who fought bravely in the first world war and laid down their lives for the nation's pride : According to history about 90,000 Indian soldiers had sacrificed their lives, So in their memory and honor a 42 meters high gate like structure was built and named All India War Memorial.

India Gate is situated at the end of Rajpath in front of the President's house. The pride of New Delhi is the best picnic spot of Delhites and main attraction for tourists. Hence on the last Sunday I planned to spend time at India Gate with family to enjoy the weekend.

The main reasons behind selecting India Gate to visit and enjoy are followings: -

*Place of relaxations - India Gate is surrounded with green trees, so it is considered area relaxion in hot summer evening. It is because the area is less warmer or hotter than surroundings.
*parks with swings - Children like to play and swing. Parks near India Gate have children friendly swings and statues to please them and enjoy much.
*Secured zone - As the region is highly secured so one can enjoy without any anxiety of criminal or roadside stooges.
*Snacks and ice-creams - Snacks, coffee and ice-creams etc are easily available. They can be bought easily because they are not so costlier as sold in Malls or shopping complex.
*Boating - Boating facilities are also available under the supervision of trained employees of Indian Tourism Development Authority.
