Should We destroy Our Successors Heritage?

Our natural resources are the heritage of our children. Our earth is a treasure we hold in trust for our descendants. But we are consuming and destroying these resources thoughtlessly. We are destroying our forests, fisheries and various species of wild life. We are cutting down trees for timber to fulfill our various requirements i.e. fuel, furniture etc.

So our forests are disappearing fast. Our non-renewable resources are depleting due to over consumption. Our fisheries are close to collapsing under the pressure of human consumption and destruction. We are depriving our children of their freedom to sustain their lives on this planet. We do not take into account environmental costs while framing our economic policy. We have no right to destroy our natural resources, which are the heritage of our coming generation.
