Bats, the only mammal around the globe which is able to fly. Megachiroptera are the large bats and Microchiroptera are the small bats. More than 1200 species of bats are found worldwide.

Amazing facts about bats: -

*Bats are the only mammals to use 'echolocation'. Echolocation is a skill to see in the dark making noise and waiting for sound waves that bounces back off prey or objects.
*Three species of vampire bats are found which feed only fresh blood.
*Flying foxes the popular name of Pteropus bats are the largest bats in the world.
*Microbats are insect eaters while megabats eat fruits and suck their nectar.
*About 70% of bats are natural pest controllers because they eat insects.
*Barbastelle is rare species of bat which face look like a pug (Dog).
*Daubenton's bat is called water bat that eats fish insects from surface of water.
*Female bats are capable to find out their babies among millions of bats. It is because they have unique smell and voices.
*Bumble bee is the smallest bat worldwide of size smaller than thumbnail.
