Deserts are the regions pf the earth of extremely low rainfall and devoid of vegetation. Deserts are of two types hot deserts like The Sahara and cold deserts like Ladakh.
Ladakh is the cold desert which lies in the northern state of India, Jammu and Kashmir. The temperature - 45 degree Celsius in winter make it one of the coldest regions of the world. Due to very low rainfall the people of Ladakh have to face shortage of water.
